About me:
I’m Dr. Li Cheng. I started working as an Assistant Professor in Learning Technologies at the University of North Texas (UNT) in August 2024. I hold a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Educational Technology and a minor in Research and Evaluation Methodology from the University of Florida (UF). Prior to joining UNT, I worked as a postdoc at UF and as a Research Scientist at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). I’m passionate about educational technology and I have been working in this field for a decade. My ultimate goal is to promote equitable education through vigorous research and practice in designing, developing, and integrating advanced learning technologies.
I have diverse academic backgrounds and professional experiences. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from China and Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Educational Technology from the U.S. I have abundant media design, teaching, and research experiences.
I am a self-directed and life-long learner. I always like to learn meaningful things that interest me. Along with my academic and professional pursuit, I have a variety of hobbies that enrich my mind and heart. Possessing many good qualities, I always seek to be a better self.
